To kick off the month, we got out lower driveway repaved! This poor original driveway was a wreck when we moved in! Sections of pavement had washed away, grass was growing in the middle of the driveway, and it was a major eyesore. Our yard was still a work in progress before our Spring clean up, but check out that new pavement! If you live in New Hampshire and are looking for a paving company, let me know! I highly recommend the crew that helped us!
Our next big project was the spring clean up. We hired an amazing team that came out to do the usual clean up process, but they also hauled away the massive heaps of branches and vines that I had piled up along with taking care of the piles of wood chips that had been left from when we had trees cut down. When we walked the property to make sure the completed everything we needed, I told them all about how I had pulled down the vines.
Let me tell you all as well, I spent a ton of time over the course of the last few months ripping the vines out of the ground and out of the trees. For the ones in the trees, they had been there for a very long time and I had to use my full body weight to jump and pull, many times swinging around by accident like Tarzan. It was a lot of work, but I also had a lot of fun with it.
I’m excited to keep chipping away at our yard to make it look how we want it!
This month, I was also featured in an article from my company highlighting our Digital Marketing team. Feel free to check that out here!
With the warmer weather, I was able to go for some really nice walks with my friend Morgan! One was at a cemetery nearby, and two were totally new trails for us! One of those trails was in a park nearby that was just opened with all new trails by the river!
And speaking of Morgan! We celebrated our friendiversary! This month! We had a day packed with fun event; breakfast at an outdoor cafe, visiting a chocolate shop, going to a local bookshop, hiking a trail, then drinks and dinner at a local brewery. To cap off the night, we went to a biker bar and had a blast! During all of these events, I was wearing my new Dead Headspace t-shirt 🙂
The one bummer of the month was that the first morning of the week off that my husband and I both took, I got an email from my Endocrinologist telling me to stop taking my meds. This was JUST when I was talking to friends about how excited I was that it was finally starting to work because I was feeling a bit better. I had just done bloodwork that week and my levels came back too high. My doctor didn’t jump on a call to talk to me about this or what the next steps are and I had to double check about going off the meds cold turkey rather than tapering off… He said to just stop them completely. He was very short and didn’t even format his emails properly. I spent the next few weeks feeling really off, and now, I’m right back where we started before the meds.
So of course, I’m insanely frustrated! I’m working on getting in to see a new doctor. The doc that I want to see only has an opening in September… So I’m trying to decide if I want to wait or try to find a different doctor.
Let’s dive in to the rest of my recap!

Monthly Musings
Watching:
We watched a lot this month thanks to the week staycation we took together.
Underwater | 2020 Film | HBO Max -4/5
It has been a very long time since a movie has gotten me with a jump scare. This one got me so badly I spilled the mug of tea I was holding all over myself. This was so unsettling right from the start! The action starts quickly and that makes it immediately terrifying. And it only gets worse from there. The cast was amazing and the lead, Kristin Stewart, did an incredible job! Go watch this ASAP if you enjoy deep sea horror!! I loved this! It made me incredibly anxious through the entire film.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier | 2014 Film | Disney+ – 5/5
I love this one so much! I love how gritty and intense it is the whole time.
Jojo Rabbit | 2019 Film | HBO Max – 4/5
If you haven’t watched this one yet, please do! My goodness… it’s such a powerful movie, gut wrenching at times, but overall wonderful! We laughed so much while watching. The humor is perfect, but it doesn’t shy away from the brutality of the historical events either.
Godzilla Vs. Kong | 2021 Film | HBO Max – 5/5
I was so nervous for this one! I love Godzilla and Kong and didn’t really want one to win over the other! This was another in the series that was wonderfully done! I loved the little girl and the impact that she had on the overall storyline. And that ending!! Perfect.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters | 2019 Film | HBO Max – 5/5
I really enjoyed this one! What a wild ride! Another in this series with amazing shots that are so beautiful mixed right in with the terror and action!
Kong: Skull Island | 2017 Film | HBO Max – 5/5
I love this film so much! It’s absolutely beautiful. The action starts quickly and we’re tucked right into the terror! And that one monster kill toward the end… excellent!
Godzilla | 2014 Film | HBO Max – 5/5
I can’t believe it took me so long to watch this. I LOVED it so much! It was tense and so many of the shots are terrifying and beautiful at the same time. And one of those monster kills…. 🙌
Thunder Force | 2021 Film | Netflix – 3/5
My god this was a hoot! If you’re looking for something silly to watch that will make you laugh, this is it! It was so weird but I had a great time watching!
Thor: The Dark World | 2013 Film | Disney+ – 5/5
I love this one so much! The humor and darkness mix is perfectly balanced. This also has one of my favorite Loki scenes!
Task Master Series | Youtube | 5/5
Alex and I have been OBSESSED with this series! If you haven’t yet, please go check this out. It is such a great watch and it’s absolutely hilarious!
Falcon & The Winter Soldier | 2021 Series | Disney+ – 5/5
I am LOVING this series! Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie are just too perfect.
Dragon Ball Super | Series | Owned – 5/5
My husband and I finally made our way through this series! I love these characters so much! Seeing them all have to team up during the season we’re on now has been great!
Dragon Ball Z: Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan | 2018 Film – 5/5
This was SO much fun to watch! I loved learning more about these characters and their backstories.
Creepshow Season 2 | Series | Shudder – 5/5
Season two is off to a killer start!! What great casting they have as well! I loved seeing actors like Ali Larter, Josh McDermitt, Brecken Meyer, Molly Ringwald!
Playing:
I had the change to play trivia a couple times! Once we did really well until the last round that dropped up to 4th place.
Drinking:
During our friendiversary, we each had a flight of sours and then split a second flight. After that I ended up having two glasses of my favorite Mango Guava sour.
Listening to:
I have been HOOKED on Fame on Fire. I love every single song I have listened to from them so far. This one specifically rules:
And then I saw they had a song with Hi-Rez and I almost lost it. I LOVE Hi-Rez!

I’m so sorry your Endo isn’t being very communicative. I’m lucky to have a good one, but I feel you on lots of doctor appointments and waiting for answers, etc. Thinking of you!
It sounds like you had a fun Friendaversary. I love it!

It’s so frustrating! I need to try to call a new specialist today to see if they have any openings soon. <3
Our friendiversary was so lovely! I love celebrations like that! 🙂

We got our yard and landscaping cleaned up in April, too – it looks so nice when it’s done right! You watched so many good movies this month!
Erica Robyn says
Absolutely!! That’s awesome that you were able to have that done as well. It’s such a relief to me when I don’t have to do it all myself, though I still do PLENTY around the yard lol I just can’t help myself.
Oh. my gosh, the movies we picked were all amazing! This whole not having two jobs is really working well for me! <3 I hope you had a great month!

Outdoor spring cleaning, a riverside trail, and stellar books all sound great, but TASK MASTER! I’ve started my third re-watch of the series (lol) – it’s so good in every way!
Erica Robyn says
<3 YESSSSS I LOVE that show so much!! We took a break for a bit because we were CRUISING through them. I can't wait to dive back in. I think Nish is still my favorite.
Katherine says
Beautiful outside photos and you’ve gotten so much done! That’s so frustrating about the doctor. To not be available for any discussion is maddening.
Erica Robyn says
Thank you! <3 And yeah... I'm really hoping my new doctor works out better!

The joys of homeownership! We need our drive way done too. It’s an eye sore with weeds growing in the cracks. We just had our fence done 2 weeks ago so the drive way is getting done next year probably. There’s always something to fix!
It’s a good month when you have only 4 and 5 star reads!
Glad you’re getting another doc. Second opinion matters a great deal in health. Good luck!
Erica Robyn says
Right?! It’s always something… Our upper driveway is quickly falling apart, so that’s definitely on the to do list for next year. Congrats on the new fence!! 🙂
