Spring Into Horror 2019 | Readathon Wrap-Up

April 29, 2019      Erica Robyn      18 Comments

I was so excited when I learned that the Spring Into Horror Readathon, hosted by Michelle of Seasons of Reading, aligned perfectly for me this year! I had my TBR for the event set and ready to roll!

This was quite the successful event for me!

Let’s dive into my results!

My TBR Goal:

My goal was to read the following 7 horror novels:

  • Carnival of Horror by Kevin J. Kennedy
  • The Outsider by Stephen King
  • Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark by Schwartz Gammell
  • More Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark by Schwartz Gammell
  • Scary Stories 3 More Tales To Chill Your Bones by Schwartz Gammell
  • The Body by Stephen King
  • Beach House by R.L. Stine

I actually ended up reading nine books total, one comic, and I DNFed one book from the original list.

The results of my readathon:

From the original list, I read:

  • Carnival of Horror by Kevin J. Kennedy
  • The Outsider by Stephen King
  • Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark by Schwartz Gammell
  • More Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark by Schwartz Gammell
  • Scary Stories 3 More Tales To Chill Your Bones by Schwartz Gammell
  • The Body by Stephen King

From the original list, I DNFed:

  • Beach House by R.L. Stine

Additional Items Read:

  • I Hate Image – FCBD Special
  • Lock Every Door by Riley Sager
  • The Luminous Dead by Caitlin Starling

Other items:

I didn’t get the chance to dive into The Horror Collection: The Black Edition by Kevin J. Kennedy, but I will get to that one soon! I also started but haven’t yet finished Pet Sematary by Stephen King.

Thanks for reading!
Did you participate in this readathon? If so, I’d love to hear what your results were!

The Body is one of my favorite pieces of fiction, but would you believe I’ve never read any Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark? Glad you had a good readathon!

The Body is just SO good! And oh! Are you considering reading them before the film comes out? 🙂 I hope you enjoy them if you do!
