Have you heard about PRH’s Reader Rewards?

May 26, 2019      Erica Robyn      15 Comments

As the First To Read program is shutting down in July, Penguin Random House has just launched a new program: Reader Rewards.

If you purchase books from this publishing house, you should definitely take note!

Details about the program:

In this free program, you can unlock personalized book picks, earn points by buying books, and redeem points for free books. How neat?!

I signed up and poked around a bit. When you sign up, you choose at least three of your favorite genres. Then the platform recommends books within those genres.

Here’s what my dashboard looks likes when I log in:

There are elements mixed into the main dashboard like quizzes and “Which types of (insert genre here) books do you like to read (select any that apply)?” that help fine tune your recommendations.

It seems like this will be a pretty neat program, and an great incentive to readers that typically purchase books from this publishing house.

Looking at my shelves, I have quite a few books from Penguin Random house, so I would love to make better use of this program moving forward.

Thanks for reading!

Have you joined this program or another program that is similar? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

I’m under a self-imposed book buying ban at the moment, so I probably won’t be earning any points for the next little while, but I’m definitely going to start an account to check out later. Gonna miss First to Read 🙁

Me too, it was such a cool program 🙁 But I’m glad they had something new in the pipeline. I wish they could have kept up both!

Sounds interesting but it is only open to US readers so not much use to us in the UK!

I am so sad to see First to Read leave. I used it so much. It’s sad it’s only a US program but I am off to check it out!
