While we all said that we were going to cut back this year… I am yet again absolutely blown away by the generosity of my friends and family.
My Bookish Christmas Haul for 2018
The holiday season began with this beauty arriving in the mail from my friend Heather of Heather’s Reading Hideaway. I can’t wait to read this!
Next up was an awesome pillowcase cover from my cousin, Connor! He always gives the BEST gifts. I LOVE it so much! I cannot wait to get a house so I can properly display this in a future reading nook!
Then Alex and I had Christmas together on Christmas Eve. He really spoiled me again this year! He also got me a bunch of candy, three pins for my backpack, and a Captain America shield keychain.
Alex was also quite clever and did this to wrap my Stranger Things book:
On Christmas Day, Alex and I traveled to his sisters house to celebrate. Here, I was gifted a whole slew of things like a candle, soap, tickets to a fair, a Christmas ornament, and other such things. But two items that were bookish related were some wonderful Harry Potter themed PJs from my in-laws!
Thanks for reading!
I hope you all had a lovely holiday season! What was your favorite holiday gift this year?
Ooh, I love the Harry Potter pj's!
They’re SO comfy!! The long john types are from Target and I believe the soft pants were JC Penny.
Those pjs are amazing!!

Soon after Christmas, Japanese people start preparing for the year-end and New Year’s events.
Compared to Christmas, many of these events are based on Japanese tradition and are deeply related to religion.
The end-of-year party is called “bonenkai” in Japanese. “Bonen” means to forget (the worries of) the past year.
People are busy with events on New Year’s Eve.
Those sounds like wonderful traditions!
A very bookish Christmas! Yay!! Love all these gifts.
