Visiting Wicked Good Books in Salem, MA

After the wedding, we went to Salem, MA for the day to show our Illinois friends around. While on that trip, I, of course, stopped into the local bookshop!

This is definitely one of my favorite shops in New England! I just have to stop in each time I’m in the area.

Let’s dive in!

Visiting Wicked Good Books in Salem, MA

When you get closer to the store, you’ll be drawn in to the window displays immediately. Of course, being in Salem, Mass, there are a bunch of books about the Witch Trials and other topical things.

And when you first step through the door, you’ll see their lovely Local Interest table. Behind and to the left of this table is another section dedicated to local books and authors. I easily could have spent an hour or so looking through all of these books, but as we were in a time crunch, I snagged one book that I had my eye on and moved on.

I just love how adorable this shop is! From the table displays and shelving, to the holiday related items and bookish goods, there’s something for everyone here! I also loved all of the old brick, hardwood flooring, and the fairy lights!

Check out this great $5 hardcover section!!

How cute is their fireplace display?

So, what did I buy? Ghosts of Salem: Haunts of the Witch City by Sam Baltrusis! Stay tuned for my review of this one.

Thanks for reading!
If you’re ever in the area, I definitely recommend stopping in to Wicked Good Books!

Within the PMM publishing house, they also have the imprint, Ghoulish Books, which launched in January of 2022. Max’s latest book, Maggots Screaming!, launched today April 12th, 2022 from that imprint. In celebration, I’m so excited to be sharing this interview with Max!

Diaries of the Damned by Ivan Radev is a collectio Diaries of the Damned by Ivan Radev is a collection of tales that span numerous dark fears. But as always, even in the darkness, there’s a bit of light.

In the foreword, the author warns that this is a book of fears, and boy does he play on fears wonderfully! Each tale is presented to readers in the first person to really get readers in the characters shoes. Please use caution here when you dive in. The author does not shy away from the darkness.

Phew, this read will take readers on quite the journey! It was the perfect read for a dark and rainy spring weekend.
