[Tea Review] House Blend Black Tea

Tea Review of House Blend Black Tea by Plum Deluxe

When someone asks me what type of tea is my favorite, I usually say black tea.

Except for Earl Grey! That type of tea just tastes like you’ve steeped old running shoes in hot water to me… Bleh.

Full Disclosure: Links in this post are my affiliate links as part of the Plum Deluxe Ambassador program. This did not affect my review of the tea in any way.

Let’s dive into my thoughts about this tea from Plum Deluxe!

My thoughts on the House Blend Black Tea from Plum Deluxe

House Blend Black Tea by Plum Deluxe

As the packaging says, this House Blend Black Tea by Plum Deluxe is “A simple yet comforting (yet bold + assertive) tea to celebrate all of life’s moments.” When I read this, I was immediately intrigued!

The Ingredients:

All organic: Assam Black Tea, Ceylon Black Tea, Safflower, Blue Maga Flowers, and Vanilla Essence.

First Try: 1 tsp, Single cup, Brewed for 4 minutes

This one is delicious! The vanilla essence is a light but lovely touch that blends wonderfully with the other flavors. I can definitely see myself reaching for this one time and time again.

Second Try: Resteeping 1 tsp

I tried resteeping the same first batch, and oh my… That did not work. It was far too watery. Whoops!

Third Try: 2 tsp, Teapot, Brewed for 4 minutes

This round was just as delicious as the first try!

This time, I was able to sit and enjoy a book while sipping on a couple of cups.

Alex also tried the tea this time and really enjoyed it as well! He agreed that the sweetness of the vanilla in this one isn’t too powerful.

My Final Thoughts

I will definitely be ordering more of this one! I’d rate this tea at a 4.5 out of 5!

If you enjoy black teas with just a touch of other flavors, in this case vanilla, then I would recommend this one to you!

Thinking about ordering some?

I generally just enjoy straight black tea, but I do like vanilla, so I might try this one!

So I want to like tea, but not sure I do. I do need to venture out and try some different ones though.

It’s definitely a tricky drink! There are SO many different kinds! Like take Green Tea for example. When I first started drinking it, I HATED it. Turns out I only hate Lipton Green Tea, I love most other green teas.

Mm, even from the list of ingredients I already knew this had to be one that tasted, and probably smelled so good! Glad you were able to love it.
