A tablet lies on dry grass and surrounded by dandelions in a natural outdoor setting. The screen displays the cover of the book Everybody Is in the Place by Emma J. Gibbon. The cover features a colorful, fantastical illustration of a female figure with glowing eyes and curved horns, holding something mysterious in her hands. Stars and swirling cosmic elements fill the background, giving the cover a magical and otherworldly feel. The title text is in bold, colorful letters across the top and middle, with the author's name at the bottom.

March 2024 | Recap

April 3, 2024      Erica Robyn      Leave a Comment

March was a busy month! Even so, I was able to read seven books and acquired three new ones to add to my TBR!

In other exciting news, Kangas Kahn Publishing posted a fun tweet that noted that many of the reviewers for October Screams were added to the first page of the vintage version! I was honored to see mine included:
” ... jam-packed with twenty-seven amazing tales of Halloween horror!“

This month I also had a wonderful time working with Lydia Prime and Jil Girardi in reviewing their latest collection: We’re Not Ourselves Today. Their excitement over receiving my review links was out of this world and I am so grateful to them for not only giving me the chance to read the book early, but also in giving me such a warm feeling in a time when I really needed it. I don’t review for recognition, but when someone really appreciates your time, it always feels good.

Let’s dive into the rest of my recap!

My March 2024 Recap –

Reading:

  • This Skin Was Once Mine and Other Disturbances by Eric LaRocca
  • Feral by Gemma Amor
  • Mothman Haze by E.C. Hanson
  • Into the Darkness: Stories Volume 1 by Steve Stred
  • The House At the End of Lacelean Street by Catherine McCarthy
  • We’re Not Ourselves Today by Lydia Prime and Jill Girardi
  • Reanimated Rex by Alex Ebenstein

Monthly bookish-haul:

Broken my book-buying ban yet again this month. 100% worth it! The BOTM book I had a credit for, so I only really purchased two books. ;-D

The books I acquired this month were:

  • Listen For The Lie by Amy Tintera
  • Restless Shadows by Ronald Kelly (signed!)
  • Cranberry Cove by Hailey Piper (signed!)

My favorite book photo this month:
