The Mystery Blogger Award

August 10, 2017      Erica Robyn      8 Comments

Thank you so much to Amy @ A Magical World of Words for nominating me for The Mystery Blogger Award! The original post can be found at Okoto Enigma’s Blog.

Let’s dive in!

The rules:

  • Put the award logo/image on your blog
  • List the rules.
  • Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
  • Mention the creator of the award and provide a link as well
  • Tell your readers 3 things about yourself
  • You have to nominate 10 – 20 people
  • Notify your nominees by commenting on their blog
  • Ask your nominees any 5 questions of your choice; with one weird or funny question (specify)
  • Share a link to your best post(s)

3 things about myself:

  1. I recently started learning to code with my fiancé.
  2. I just read my very first manga book last week.
  3. I am a huge library borrower.

Link to my best post(s):

  1. My Trip To The Book Barn in Niantic, Connecticut
  2. 10 Things In The Book World That I Am Tired Of
  3. What To Do With Books You No Longer Want

Amy’s questions for me:
What is one book or movie ending that you didn’t like or agree with? And if given the chance to rewrite it yourself, what would you do differently?
Oh that is a great question! There have been MANY movies that I finished watching and immediately said, “Wait, that’s it?!” Most recently this happened with The Prestige. When the movie ended, I was left very confused.
Choose two authors you’d love to see write a book together. Why those two?
Josh Malerman and Robert Kirkman. I am so obsessed with each of these writers… I can’t even imagine how incredible a book would be if they worked on it together! Even if one of Josh’s books were turned into a graphic novel, I’d be totally on board!
What is one fictional place you would LOVE to visit?
Hogsmeade!
You’re cast in a Disney tale. Are you more likely to be the hero, the villain, the trickster, or the damsel?
Definitely the damsel. I’m always getting myself into weird and unfortunate situations.
Favorite song and why.
Summer of 69 by Bryan Adams. I know it’s inappropriate, but I didn’t understand it at the time! haha I love this song because it always reminds me of the very first time I heard it.

I nominate:
(absolutely NO pressure, if you don’t want to participate I won’t be offended!)

Barb @ Booker T’s Farm: Books & Nails & Puppy Dog Tales

Brooklyn @ Brooklyn’s Bookish World
Dinh @ Arlene’s Book Club
Erica Watkins @ The Literary Apothecary
Heather @ Heather’s Reading Hideaway

Katiria Rodriguez @ LA Jersey Chika Reads Indie Books
Lauren @ Always Me
Lonna @ FLYLeF
Mikaela @ The Well-Thumbed Reader

Sassy @ Alternative-Read

Questions for my nominees:
1) What is the scariest/most thrilling book you’ve read?
2) What is your favorite book to screen adaptation?
3) Do you use your local library? If so, how often?
4) What is your current obsession (podcast, genre, youtuber, musical artist, movie, etc.)?
5) Who is your book blogger role model?

Thanks for reading!
I’m looking forward to seeing others take part in this award! If I didn’t tag you above, but you would like to participate, feel free! Just comment below with your blog link and I will add your to my nominee list! 🙂

Ooh! Thanks for tagging me, Erica! 🙂

Honestly, The Prestige is one of my favorite movies – it took a few watchings for me to really figure it out.
