My Trip to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

October 6, 2019      Erica Robyn      18 Comments

Hey everyone!

I’m so excited to be sharing some of my photos from my recent trip to Universal Studios in Florida! This trip was a combination of our belated honeymoon and one year wedding anniversary. We had SO much fun!

Enjoy the photos! <3

Diagon Alley

We began our journey in Diagon Alley.

Our very first stop was a sports shop; Quidditch Supplies. My goodness, I wanted all of the Hufflepuff gear! I came very close to buying a Hufflepuff jersey.

Next up was Weasley’s Wizard Weezes!

There were SO many goodies!! I would have loved to buy one of each thing here, but I walked away with a Chocolate Frog and Bertie Bot’s Every Flavored Beans.

Next we saw the storefront of Flourish & Blotts, which was so fun!

Then we went to the stop I was looking forward to the most; Ollivanders!

Based on our wedding date, the wand that was for us was a Vine wand and I LOVE it. (Thanks Alex! )

After leaving Ollivanders, we headed toward Gringotts Bank. Seeing the dragon breathe fire was so cool! Shout-out to our friend Andy for snagging this shot! 🙂

Then we headed inside the bank for the ride. This was definitely the highlight of my time in this park! It was perfect!!

After the ride, we headed to The Leaky Cauldron for lunch.

At The Leaky Cauldron, I had a delicious Fizzy Peach Tea. I didn’t try Butterbeer as I heard it’s like cream soda and I’m not a fan of that.

After lunch, we ducked down Knockturn Alley. This was neat but very hard to see! We used the wand on a couple of spots here!

On the other side of Knockturn Alley, we were back by the bank.

The Hogwarts™ Express

Platform 9 3/4 Harry Potter World Florida

With our Park-To-Park tickets, we were able to ride the Hogwarts Express! This train itself was a ride and it was pretty neat! The ride was very slow and short, but with the screens, you got to see the train cruise through the city, the countryside, and then arrive. While on the train, you also got to see the shadows of a few characters!

Hogsmeade

On this side it was unfortunately VERY hot. As I pass out very easily in the heat, we kinda cruised through this side. However, here are some of my favorite pictures I took while we were there:

Shout out to the lovely person that stopped and asked if we wanted her to take a photo for us! Thank you!! <3

Thanks so much for checking out my photos!
I had such an amazing time, but I already want to go back to explore more! I feel like we missed so many things simply because I was so excited and overwhelmed!

If you have been to the parks, I’d love to hear about your trip!

We went there for our first anniversary, too! I think they had just recently opened the Diagon Alley side. It was so cool, just the attention to detail was amazing! Your pictures are so wonderful, really making me relive our trip!

Such great pictures. I especially love the one of you two in front of the bank with the dragon. I can see why this would be such overwhelming. Hopefully you get to go back soon. Gee, has it been a year already??? Happy belated anniversary.

Diaries of the Damned by Ivan Radev is a collectio Diaries of the Damned by Ivan Radev is a collection of tales that span numerous dark fears. But as always, even in the darkness, there’s a bit of light.

In the foreword, the author warns that this is a book of fears, and boy does he play on fears wonderfully! Each tale is presented to readers in the first person to really get readers in the characters shoes. Please use caution here when you dive in. The author does not shy away from the darkness.

Phew, this read will take readers on quite the journey! It was the perfect read for a dark and rainy spring weekend.
