[Book Blogger Hop] My Favorite Bookish Accessory

February 23, 2019      Erica Robyn      38 Comments

Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer, where you answer a question and join a β€œhop”. The purpose is to help bloggers discover and get to know one another.

For this week’s Book Blogger Hop question,  Angelica @ Paperback Princess asked:

What’s your favourite bookish accessory that’s NOT a book?

My favorite bookish accessory currently is my book sleeve!

Book Sleeve

I snagged it from ShopSewChic on Etsy. My item is called the Lilac Floral INDIE Book Sleeve. I love the print, it has just the right amount of padding, and the stitching was done so well!

Book Sleeve

It’s a really well put together item that I definitely recommend to other readers! I cannot wait to buy a few more to have more seasonal items!

It’s so nice to slip my books into the sleeve before tossing it into my backpack or purse, and having full confidence that my book won’t get damaged in my bag.

Book Sleeve

Thanks for reading!
Do you have a book sleeve? If so, which shop did you buy it from?

Those are very cute! In a similar vein, I love my book covers from Gotcha Covered – I went searching for something to keep my books protected – but also able to open and read them – and found these. I love that they are handmade from your choice of gorgeous printed fabric.

The cover is gorgeous, Erica. I have a couple that I use now and then. My favorite one has handles, which makes it easier to carry around in case I don’t want to take my purse with me. They really do come in handy, don’t they? I can’t tell you how many books whose corners are bent or worn a little from being shoved in my purse or bag continuously . . . The covers really help protect them.

Oh! I will have to look for one with a handle! That sounds so helpful.

The only book sleeves I’ve come across is for my son’s books for school.
    Yours is way cute!
That’s a good way to protect books if you’re on the move a lot.

I have one book sleeve and I really should use it more often, at least for the books I bring back and forth to work!

I love book sleeves and all the nice designs out there! The only problem is that I only ever need one or at most a few book sleeves, but I just always want to buy up every one that catches my eye πŸ˜›

So pretty! I haven’t bought one of these yet, but mainly just because I can’t settle on a favorite design because all of the ones I’ve seen are so pretty. Buying one is definitely in my future though because I can’t stand it when my books get damaged floating around in my tote bag.

Oooo! I keep hearing about these. While I rarely read hard copy books, these would be indispensable for my professional journals. I often slip them inside sheet protectors, but one of these sleeves would be much more attractive.
