[Book Blogger Hop] Favorite Scary Movie

Book Blogger Hop: Halloween Edition!

Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer, where you answer a question and join a “hop”. The purpose is to help bloggers discover and get to know one another.

For this week’s question, Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer asks:

Off the book topic – What is your favorite scary movie?

My answer:
Horror is my favorite! So of course, I’ve been sitting here for far too long trying to pick just one movie…

My favorite scary movie (as of Oct 2017 anyway) is It Follows.

It Follows movie poster

I don’t want to give anything away, so I will just say that I hadn’t seen a movie that really creeped me out in a long time… and then I saw this one. It was the way that this movie was filmed combined with the amazing soundtrack and jump scares that made this one move to the top of my favorites list.

Check out this song from the soundtrack:

Side note, when I pulled up this video and started playing it to make sure I was picking the right song, my fiancΓ© immediately turned to me and said “NO. WHY IS THAT PLAYING? You’re using that in a blog post? You’re crazy. Man I forgot about that song. Nope, nope, nope, nope, nooooope.” Needless to say, it’s pretty creepy!! Especially if you’ve seen the movie. If you’re a runner, I highly recommend adding it to your playlist. It will make you pick up the pace!

Thanks for reading!
I’d love to hear about your favorite scary movie in the comments section below! πŸ™‚

I really liked It Follows and it's hard to narrow it down for me but I would have to say The Shining. Something about the isolated hotel and the snow!

I really enjoyed this one, too. The relentlessness of the creature made it terrifying.

It's been so long since I've seen new scary movies because my husband is a bit of a scaredy cat and I mostly only watch tv/movies with him or the kids. I'll definitely add this to my list for when I watch on my own though.

Have a great weekend. – Katie
