In Our Tears, In The Sea by Matthew Lutton | Book Review

In Our Tears, In The Sea by Matthew Lutton is a tale of desire, terror, and crabs … lots and lots of crabs.

Let’s dive in!

My Thoughts on In Our Tears, In The Sea by Matthew Lutton –

Oh, I love a good story within a story! This one had one more layer which made it a story within a story, within a story. On the top layer, we see a group of people going to an abandoned building to drink and tell a scary story. That story makes up the second layer and features a man having gone through a trauma. This man recounting his trauma is the third layer.

The group in the abandoned building think it’s all just a tall tale right up until they realize there is more to fear than being caught tresspassing…

This is a tale you need to sit and read from start to finish. I was so immersed in these pages. I had an idea of where we were headed with the overall plot, but it was fun to follow the journey nonetheless! The descriptions of the horrors here are just so chilling.

My Favorite Passages from In Our Tears, In The Sea –

The Port Master rubbed his hair back, thinking on if he should just wait until the Navy arrived and have them deal with this insanity, but curiosity was a seduction that most men who lived by the sea had trouble curbing or praying away, and he was no exception.

My Final Thoughts on In Our Tears, In The Sea –

This was such a fun read filled with tension that is broken up by the different layers of stories to keep the reader on their toes.

Thanks for reading!

This sounds like a fun nature gone wild story. Those are always so fun and I love that people are writing them again.
