[Book Blogger Hop] Blogs I Follow

December 7, 2018      Erica Robyn      28 Comments

Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer, where you answer a question and join a “hop”. The purpose is to help bloggers discover and get to know one another.

For this week’s question, Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews asked:

Do you tend to visit the same blogs each week but also try to look for new blogs?

My answer:
I do have a core set of blogs that I visit at least weekly to catch up, reading each post and commenting as much as I can.

I also have hundreds of others that I check in on from my feedly account or from my Twitter list of book bloggers that I’m always adding to!

But I’m always on the lookout for new bloggers to follow!

Thanks for reading!
How do you keep track of your favorite blogging accounts? 🙂

Great question. Same here. I have a few blogs that I follow religiously but I'm always coming across new blogs on Twitter, FB, or even Pinterest. Lots of great stuff out there!

I have a handful that I subscribe via email because they are faves, but I really rely on bloglovin for all of them.

Blog hops are the best!! 🙂
I really enjoy the book blogger Facebook groups. I'm not very well organized, or rather I am but I get swamped pretty easily. And then I lose track of which blogs I want to visit at which point. So the groups are a nice way to find new posts and new blogs. I also use the WordPress reader a lot but not all the blogs I like to visit are on WP.

There are a few bloggers that I try to visit pretty regularly, but once a week I try to visit anyone else I've missed! If there's time, I'll look for a few new blogs to follow. It's not always easy finding the time, so I make sure to visit the people that visit me first, and then I make my rounds. I feel like if someone can take the time to visit me, I can make an effort to visit them back.

I hear ya! I try to check all the posts I've missed using Feedly, but occasionally I'll fall behind and have to clear the feed rather than catching up just because it's so overwhelming when time is rather short.

I tend to stick to a core set associated with these weekly memes. I run out of time to do much else.

Bloglovin' is a site I really rely on to keep track of all the blogs I follow. There are so many! But like you, there is a smaller group that I make sure to check out all the time (including yours!).

I use bloglovin and stick to the blogs I follow unless someone new starts commenting. I've wasted too much time following new people who months later still haven't paid me one blog visit!

I do tend to visit the same / my favorite bloggers each week. I come across new book bloggers usually via Twitter or here in the comments, but I haven't actively looked for new bloggers in a long time. Events like Readathon are often where I easily connect with new to me bloggers.

I tend to be more into the books than the bloggers themselves (does that make me a bad person)? SO I follow a lot of blogs but check in basically through my "Reader" screen and by email updates for new posts that are about books I think sound good!

I have my regulars and then I try to visit others via hops/memes etc. Time is not my friend, however, and I'm constantly trying to find a better way of managing the list of blogs I visit and my time!

Same here! I definitely recommend Feedly! It's a free platform and you can make various lists to help keep you organized.

Within the PMM publishing house, they also have the imprint, Ghoulish Books, which launched in January of 2022. Max’s latest book, Maggots Screaming!, launched today April 12th, 2022 from that imprint. In celebration, I’m so excited to be sharing this interview with Max!

Diaries of the Damned by Ivan Radev is a collectio Diaries of the Damned by Ivan Radev is a collection of tales that span numerous dark fears. But as always, even in the darkness, there’s a bit of light.

In the foreword, the author warns that this is a book of fears, and boy does he play on fears wonderfully! Each tale is presented to readers in the first person to really get readers in the characters shoes. Please use caution here when you dive in. The author does not shy away from the darkness.

Phew, this read will take readers on quite the journey! It was the perfect read for a dark and rainy spring weekend.
