My Blogging Goals for the Spring Bloggiesta | 2018

March 19, 2018      Erica Robyn      46 Comments

Phew, I can’t believe we’ve already made it to another Bloggiesta! But here we are; the Spring Bloggiesta begins today and runs through the 25th. I’ve participated in two Bloggiestas so far and I have absolutely loved each of the events! I can’t wait to see what this one brings!

Haven’t heard of the Bloggiesta? No worries! Click here to learn more.

My Blogging Goals for the Spring Bloggiesta

My goals this round are pretty simple, but I may add to them as the week goes on. We’ll see!

Create audiobook review page.
Create the page and link to it from my Review Archive page. Adding another link to the top navigation would be too much.

Draft up a few meme posts from future prompts.
I’ve really been slacking on these for two reasons, 1) lack of time, and 2) lack on interest in the prompt… I’d like to look through the prompts and get a few drafted up to use in the future.

Participate in at least one Bloggiesta Twitter Chat.
The Twitter chats are so much fun! While my schedule is pretty packed, I’m hoping to join at least one of them.

Clean up my blogging-related email folders.
I currently have 5 folders and they’ve gotten a bit unruly… It’s about time for a clean up!

Add missing social media buttons.
Right off the bat, I know I need to add BookThinkers, but I’m sure I’m missing others.

Gather information about moving to WordPress?
The question mark is key here. I’m still very much on the fence about making the stitch. But I’m getting very frustrated with people thinking I am a new blogger simply based on my followers count. That being said, I’m also very stubborn and I feel very loyal to my crew here on blogger, and I truly love the platform. So I may just stick around for another year to see how things go. πŸ™‚

Thanks for reading!

You have five blogging folders?! Have fun going through them. Haha. I need to go through by folders on my PC, I don't think I've done a deep cleaning since like 2014. Eek. I'm not doing Spring Bloggiesta but you've inspired me to do some really important updates for my blog!

And I loveee Twitter chats; I hope you have time for one!

I moved to WordPress last year and it's great, though it took a bit to get used to. I had Ashley from Nose Graze due all the work though. LOL I'm so not good at these things so I doubt I could have to done it on my own. Good luck with all of these goals!

I like the idea of having a separate page for your audiobook reviews πŸ™‚ I am always looking for ways to simplify my reviews and make them easier to navigate. I am eager to see how you do this πŸ™‚

Those are some excellent goals, and I hope you get to put a check mark next to all of them by the end of the week!

One of these days I'm going to join Bloggiesta because this sounds like a great way to get some updates on the blog that I always seem to put off.

P.S. Come join us over at WordPress! πŸ™‚

Good luck with your goals! Personally I love wordpress, but if Blogger works for you and your comfortable with it, I wouldn't stress the followers thing. Honestly – I don't pay any attention to that (wouldn't have even looked if you hadn't mentioned it – you could just take that right off your side bar). Hope your week goes well. Happy Bloggiesta πŸ™‚

Great goals, Erica! I really need to make an effort to blog ahead on meme posts. Typically I only look a week ahead. And if I’m not interested in the topic I just move on. But what what make more sense would be to check several weeks ahead and create posts from that. Gee, why has this never occurred to me before? LOL Honestly, it’s never dawned on me to check several weeks (or even months, depending on the meme) and really getting ahead. What a bonehead. LOL

Hi, good look reaching your goals if you're still working on them. I'm not sure if my comment will work (I joined Bloggiesta late from one of my wordpress blogs but can't seem to make comments work at many blogs at the mo.) I'll stop by another time soon for a more relaxed read, still a long way to go to reach the finish line…
