A tablet lies on dry grass and surrounded by dandelions in a natural outdoor setting. The screen displays the cover of the book Everybody Is in the Place by Emma J. Gibbon. The cover features a colorful, fantastical illustration of a female figure with glowing eyes and curved horns, holding something mysterious in her hands. Stars and swirling cosmic elements fill the background, giving the cover a magical and otherworldly feel. The title text is in bold, colorful letters across the top and middle, with the author's name at the bottom.

[Tea Review] Reading Nook Blend Black Tea

July 20, 2019      Erica Robyn      6 Comments

When I was first approached by a member of the Plum Deluxe team, they mentioned this blend. I was immediately interested based on the name alone!

I mean, Reading Nook Blend Black Tea? Sounds wonderful!

Full Disclosure: Links in this post are my affiliate links as part of the Plum Deluxe Ambassador program. This did not affect my review of the tea in any way.

Let’s dive into my thoughts about this tea from Plum Deluxe!

My thoughts on Reading Nook Blend Black Tea from Plum Deluxe

As the packaging says, this Reading Nook Blend Black Tea by Plum Deluxe is “A blend of joy. Pairs well with creativity, reading & writing, conversation, relaxing.”

The Ingredients:

All organic: Black Tea, Rosebuds, Lavender, and Chamomile.

First Try: 1 tsp, Single cup, Brewed for 4 minutes

The smell was a little stronger than I prefer my teas so that made me a little nervous. But it tastes pretty good! This is such a fun blend! The black tea taste is definitely strong and the kick of the more flavorful rosebud and lavender is clear.

I definitely agree with the description, this would be a great tea to sip while reading, doing something creative, or chatting.

I would rate this one at 3 out of 5 for me personally, simply because I prefer more plain teas.

Second Try: 1 tsp, Single cup, Brewed for 4 minutes
Addition: A bit of raw honey.

I definitely prefer this one with a bit of honey! It added just the right amount of sweetness! But unfortunately this one still just isn’t my cup of tea.

I’d rate this tea at a 3.5 out of 5 with the honey.

My Final Thoughts

While this was a wicked fun blend, and I love the name, this one wasn’t my personal favorite favor.

I will absolutely finish the batch that I was given, but I may not purchase this one on my own.

If you enjoy teas with lovely flavoring, you should definitely check this one out!

Thinking about giving this one a go?

It’s a beautiful tea! The dried leaves and petals look like colorful potpourri. I’m actually more of a coffee drinker, but I’m tempted.

Fun name, I don’t think I would like the lavendar flavor, so I might feel the same way.

Lavender is very hit or miss for me. I really love the chamomile with Lavender tea from Traditional Medicinals.
