Nothingland by Katherine Silva is a grief horror tale of a woman and her quest for revenge and the heavy despair that hits time and time again.

Let’s dive in!

My Thoughts on Nothingland by Katherine Silva –

In the very first two pages of the book, Kat gets readers caught back up in such a natural way! Just a few quick paragraphs about why Janet is at this stage, and we were right back in the action!

When we dive back in, we see that Janet is in very rough shape after the last run-in trying to take down Steele. She has ventured further into Nothingland where she will meet some people who help her on her mission, and some who have other plans.

Determined as she is, her body is hanging on by a thread. Will she be able to keep up the pace needed to catch Steele unaware?

Ugh, as a reader, all you want is for something to go right for poor Janet! The tension here is thicker than ever as she moves through this world, slowly zeroing back in on her target.

Once you start this one, you won’t want to put it down!

My Favorite Passages from Nothingland –

Dozens of pictures of them all together surrounded her like a forcefield of compassion.

“…This place kind of holds you on its tongue, tasting you, letting you dissolve, but never bites down. There’s no quick end here.”

A nihilistic viewpoint but for Janet, hope was nothing but smoke vanishing from the extinguished candle anyway.

My Final Thoughts on Nothingland –

Ugh! Kat has done it again! It had been a minute since I read book two, Dead Folk, but right from the first paragraph, I was sucked right back in. There was so much action, tension, terror, and grief here, and the combination of those was intense!

Grief horror fans, if you haven’t started this collection of tales yet, you gotta change that!
