A tablet lies on dry grass and surrounded by dandelions in a natural outdoor setting. The screen displays the cover of the book Everybody Is in the Place by Emma J. Gibbon. The cover features a colorful, fantastical illustration of a female figure with glowing eyes and curved horns, holding something mysterious in her hands. Stars and swirling cosmic elements fill the background, giving the cover a magical and otherworldly feel. The title text is in bold, colorful letters across the top and middle, with the author's name at the bottom.

My Goals for 2019

January 2, 2019      Erica Robyn      47 Comments

2018 held a number of very excited events for me! The two biggest events were that I got a new job and I got to marry someone who makes me laugh and who tells me how much he loves me every single day! I am so honored to be his wife.

The year also had quite a bit of frustration as well… But now we’re in a new year and I am hoping to leave that negativity in the past where it belongs so I can move on!

On that note, let’s dive in to my goals for the new year.

My Goals for 2019

Book Blogging Goals:

  • I would love to continue growing my blogging community base. It’s been absolutely incredible making new friends throughout 2018! I’m really looking forward to meeting new people in 2019 and learning more about my current community as well!
  • I’d like to take part in at least one blogging event and one in-person bookish event.
  • Continue adding to my testimonial page.

Reading Goals:

  • My main goal is simply to work through my TBR stacks. My TBR stacks are seriously out of control… I’m hoping to really focus in on the stacks on my desk first. After that, I’m hoping to get to the stack of books that are on the floor underneath my desk. We’ll see how far I get after that…
  • I also need to make it through my list of honest reviews that I have agreed to read, but didn’t set dates for as my form had been closed. Most of these books are follow ups to books from authors that I have worked with previously, so I’m really excited to dive in to many of them!
  • And lastly, I would like to re-read the books I have been meaning to re-read.
Lifestyle Goals:
  • Drink more water.
  • Do more yoga.
  • Get my dental crown.
  • Use less plastic.
  • Save more money.
  • Go exploring with my camera more often.
Big Goal of 2019:
  • Buy a house– I just keep telling myself that this is going to happen this year. I am so grateful that Alex and I have our own place currently, but it is time to move on and really start building a home together.

Thanks for reading!
Have you set your goals or resolutions for 2019 yet? I would love to hear about them!

Apart from reading at least 120 books, participate in a couple of reading challenges and host a Diversity Reading Challenge at my blog, I'm playing with the thought of only reading books by female authors this year. πŸ™‚

Awesome goals! Buying a house was a goal of ours a couple years ago. It took time to save, but we really focused on it. I need to drink more water, too, and I would love to start doing yoga.

Good luck! I also need to drink more water, exercise more, and read my TBR. I’d love to buy a house, but that’s not going to happen. I hope you have a great 2019!

I've had to set up a challenge to tackle the TBR this year and keep an eye on the books coming in and going out so I don't buy too many! Hope we both tame the book beast this year!

Sound like great plans. Hope the house comes through. We actually paid ours off 3 years ago and it’s a great feeling. I’m trying to get healthier this year. Don’t want to say lose weight per se, but make some lifestyle changes. Hope you have a great 2019!

My big goal is to graduate and move out from my parents' house. My reading goal on other hand is to read 150 books and blogging goal to blog hop more.

I hope you're able to get the kind of house you want to and make new friends in blogging community.

Those are some fantastic goals. My biggest goal is to be a better blogger and better blogging friend in 2019. When things get busy I always let the blog and the blog visits slide. I need to be better about that. Best of luck with your goals!

These are great goals, Erica! I am going to spend 2019 trying to work through a lot of my past due review books. We will be spending a lot of time this year dealing with my youngest daughter who is graduating from high school in May and will move on to college later in the year. 2019 will be a year of big change for us!

On my TBR for January list, which I posted today, I shared how I have a system that tells me what to read and keeps me happy. It almost sounds like you could do the same thing with your piles! One from the desk, one from under the bed, one re-read, etc. πŸ™‚

Love your goals Erica! I hope to focus more on self-care this year- regular workouts, not eating out much and everything. I also hope to read more of my physical books. I have so many unread books it's not even funny! I also hope to finish writing the first draft of at least one of my novels this year and get around to editing it <3

Yup, working through the TBR stack is an obstacle I keep coming up against. It's basically my only reading goal at the moment – I'm not even thinking about any other challenges! I'm so glad your changes in life have brought you so much joy and happiness, and wish you well with your future goals. All the best for 2019.

These are some really good goals. I hope house hunting goes well and you can find one that works for the both of you. I am all about the yoga and 2L of water a day life so I am so approving of that goal. I hope you can work through your TBR and maybe buy fewer books to keep it under control too x
