[Meme] My Favorite… Thing About 2018 So Far

My Favorite… is a weekly meme hosted by Maureen’s Books. The goal is simple, every week participants will share something that they love with each other based on a prompt.

This week’s prompt is:

My Favorite Thing About 2018 So Far

Let’s dive in!

My answer:
2018 has been absolutely insane. I’ve been SO busy, but it’s been a great year! The year started out quite rough, and there have been a few tricky patches here and there. Luckily I’ve had so many lovely people help me out when I needed them the most (thank you all!), and I got through it!

I have to say that my favorite thing about 2018 so far was landing my new job. This was a much needed change, and I just feel so blessed to have been given the chance to join my new company.

It’s been seven months and I still cannot believe how incredible my company is… I tear up just thinking about it! The culture is incredible, the owner is a wonderful and very generous person, the person who I report to absolutely rules, the office is a really neat space, I really enjoy what I do, and I have great benefits!

I mean, how many other company owners shuts down the office just to let the employees go enjoy the weather? How many hire an ice-cream truck to hand out frozen treats on the hottest day of the year? How many take the entire company to a movie in the middle of the afternoon, treating them to whatever they want at the concession stand (even wine!)?

I am so very thankful for this job.

Thanks for reading!

Thank you! <3 I bet you'll find a great one soon! One tip that was given to me when I was job searching… which was terrifying at the time, but ended up working out… Don't settle permanently! Take the stepping-stone job, but keep your options open and work on finding a great fit on all fronts. 🙂
