A tablet lies on dry grass and surrounded by dandelions in a natural outdoor setting. The screen displays the cover of the book Everybody Is in the Place by Emma J. Gibbon. The cover features a colorful, fantastical illustration of a female figure with glowing eyes and curved horns, holding something mysterious in her hands. Stars and swirling cosmic elements fill the background, giving the cover a magical and otherworldly feel. The title text is in bold, colorful letters across the top and middle, with the author's name at the bottom.

Indie Bookstore Day 2025 | Book Event

On April 26th, we spent the morning on a book adventure, celebrating Indie Bookstore Day! Honestly, I hadn’t even realized this day was coming up—time has been such a blur lately. But while I was searching for something fun to do for another “mommy and little dude” day, I stumbled across a post about Indie Bookstore Day and immediately knew we had to go. So we jumped in the car and headed to Gibson’s Bookstore in Concord, NH!

Let’s dive in!

Our Trip to Gibsons for Indie Bookstore Day –

My little dude and I ended up spending a lovely two hours wandering through the store, exploring everything we possibly could. Wade was totally in his element! He picked out a bright Kooshball toy, a little toy car complete with a cow (of course!), and two adorable books: Busy Bookstore: Push, Pull, Slide by Marion Billet, which has such fun interactive pages, and Trash Truck by Max Keane, one of his favorite shows.

To top it off, we had time to visit the in-store café for a quick breakfast break. We split a breakfast sandwich and just soaked in the atmosphere together.

It was such a sweet, unplanned morning filled with books, treats, and lots of fun—definitely a memory I’ll hold onto for a long time to come. I already can’t wait for our next visit!
