A tablet lies on dry grass and surrounded by dandelions in a natural outdoor setting. The screen displays the cover of the book Everybody Is in the Place by Emma J. Gibbon. The cover features a colorful, fantastical illustration of a female figure with glowing eyes and curved horns, holding something mysterious in her hands. Stars and swirling cosmic elements fill the background, giving the cover a magical and otherworldly feel. The title text is in bold, colorful letters across the top and middle, with the author's name at the bottom.

[FLYTIP] Make Your Mark: My Favorite Bookmarks

October 14, 2017      Erica Robyn      18 Comments

Welcome to another FLYTIP post!

FLYTIP is an original feature hosted by FLYLΔ“F. The purpose is to share blog design graphics and advice, as well as encourage related discussions.

The topic for Saturday, October 14th is:

Bookmarks aren’t just for saving your place in a book. They are artistic expressions. Share your expression with 5-10 bookmarks.

My Favorite Bookmarks

More often than not, I use post it notes as my bookmarks.

Occasionally, I use random items like my library card, a John Green Pizza sticker, or an old ferry ticket.

I do have a few bookmarks that have been gifted to me that I really love! Here’s the whole “collection.”

Thanks for reading!
I clearly need to work on my collection of bookmarks. If there’s an Etsy shop or other online store that you would recommend, feel free to send it my way in the comments section below!

I confess I usually use ticket stubs or scrap paper that is lying around the house! I also like the bookmarks that come from various bookstores, they remind me of my visit there. πŸ™‚

Usually I love post it notes, library check out slips, or even regular bookmarks. I really like the looks of those paperclip bookmarks! πŸ™‚

One of my co-workers gets me a bookmark when she travels, so I have bookmarks from Vietnam and Ireland! She says I'm one of the few people she knows that still reads paper books!

I've bought bookmarks from this Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/MyBookmark?ref=l2-shopheader-name

They're a bit pricey, but the little feet sticking out are so cute!

We are of like mind. I tend to just use a post it, too. Putting this post together made me cognizant of the fact that I need to love my books more by dressing them up with bookmarks. Thank you for participating in this week's FLYTIP prompt, Erica!

Those paperclip bookmarks are adorable. I'm also partial to the HP ones. I've always wanted little character bookmarks, but have not way of deciding which to choose.
