A tablet lies on dry grass and surrounded by dandelions in a natural outdoor setting. The screen displays the cover of the book Everybody Is in the Place by Emma J. Gibbon. The cover features a colorful, fantastical illustration of a female figure with glowing eyes and curved horns, holding something mysterious in her hands. Stars and swirling cosmic elements fill the background, giving the cover a magical and otherworldly feel. The title text is in bold, colorful letters across the top and middle, with the author's name at the bottom.

[Book Blogger Hop] Book Club Holiday Exchanges

December 21, 2018      Erica Robyn      26 Comments

Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer, where you answer a question and join a “hop”. The purpose is to help bloggers discover and get to know one another.

For this week’s Book Blogger Hop question, Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews asked:

Does your book club have a book exchange for the holidays or any other time during the year? If you don’t belong to a book club, do you think that would be something fun to do?

My answer:
Yes! My book club will be having our second annual book swap on January 3rd and I can’t wait!

I especially love our swap because the only rule is that you bring a book that you don’t mind giving away all wrapped up in order to participate in the book swap! This can be a new book, or a well-loved copy from your shelves that you are ready to pass on.

Last year I brought in a new copy of my favorite The Power of One by Bryce Courtenay. I’m still debating which book I want to bring in this year…

Thanks for reading!
Do you do any type of holiday swaps, whether in a book group, at work, or with family?

What a great concept. I sign up for the COYER Secret Santa and it's the third year I've participated. It's always fun.

I keep trying to get involved in local book groups, but they never work out. People either don't commit to reading the book, or they just stop showing up. It's really frustrating, because I'd love to have a group of people to meet with once a month to discuss books! Although, I am happy to have the blogging community, and wish we could all just meet up instead!

Sounds like fun…although I know I'd never take a book off my own shelves, but it'd be nice to know that buying a used book would be an option as well.

Hope you have a great weekend. – Katie

How fun! I do blog swaps, but I haven't done an in-person swap in forever.

SO sorry for the late comment back…. πŸ™

This SURE sounds like fun!! If I were to participate in this kind of thing, I'd have to buy a new book. I can't POSSIBLY give away one of my faves! Lol.

Thanks for commenting on my BBH post! Hope you had a VERY Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!! <3 πŸ™‚
