A tablet lies on dry grass and surrounded by dandelions in a natural outdoor setting. The screen displays the cover of the book Everybody Is in the Place by Emma J. Gibbon. The cover features a colorful, fantastical illustration of a female figure with glowing eyes and curved horns, holding something mysterious in her hands. Stars and swirling cosmic elements fill the background, giving the cover a magical and otherworldly feel. The title text is in bold, colorful letters across the top and middle, with the author's name at the bottom.

[Book Blogger Hop] Literary Halloween Costume

Book Blogger Hop: Halloween Edition!

Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer, where you answer a question and join a “hop”. The purpose is to help bloggers discover and get to know one another.

For this week’s question, Michelle @ Life Among the Pages asked:

If you were to dress up as a literary figure {author or character} for Halloween, who would it be?

My answer:
This is my first Halloween at my new job, and I’ve been told that they take it VERY seriously.

This year, my team is actually dressing up as literary characters! Unfortunately though, it’s a secret. I’m not sure if anyone at my work reads this blog, but to play it safe, I won’t spill the beans here.

I will say that it’s one of my all time favorite series, so I am PUMPED. Hopefully in my monthly recap I’ll share some photos. But stay tuned to my Instagram, if I take photos, I’ll definitely share them there first!

If you’re looking for an idea for a literary related costume, but don’t have much money to spend, check out my post, Literary Halloween Costumes You May Already Have In Your Closet.

Thanks for reading!
Which genre would you pick?

Oh I can't wait to hear who you dress up as! My company was very mixed when it came to Halloween. Some people went full out and some didn't do anything. I usually wore a tiara and announced that I was a princess.

The last time I dressed up for Halloween was when I was ten for a school party! Halloween isn't really a thing in my part of Scotland!

Oh, that sounds like SO much FUN!!! I'm glad your job is so supportive of dressing up for Halloween! I'll have to be sneaky about that at my job…. πŸ™

I read your post about literary costumes already in one's closet. GREAT post! My favorite costume is Madeline. It's SO ADORABLE!! But I think I'd need to visit several vintage second-hand stores to get that kind of hat and dress. Lol.

Thanks for sharing, and for commenting on my own BBH post!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! <3 πŸ™‚

I'm not sure who/what I'd pick. Maybe Dorothy from Wizard of Oz? I think I like the idea of sparkly red shoes.
