[Book Blogger Hop] What My Shelves Are Like

June 2, 2017      Erica Robyn      20 Comments

Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer, where you answer a question and join a “hop”. The purpose is to help bloggers discover and get to know one another.
For this week’s question, Elizabeth at Silver’s Reviews asks:
Do your bookshelves have books ONLY or do you also have bookish items on the shelves?

My answer:
Where we’re living now, my books occupy one tiny shelf, a kitchen hutch, and a number of wooden crates. In each of these areas, I have many bookish items also on display!

On the kitchen hutch (which isn’t actually in the kitchen, don’t worry!) I have a Frostbeard candle, three Harry Potter Funko POPS, Ginny’s wand, a feather pen, and a couple of HP bookmarks.

On the tiny shelf, I have a pouch that says “I like big books can I cannot lie” where all my bookmarks are stored.

Then on the wooden crates, I have some family photos.

Thanks for reading!
What is your favorite bookish item displayed on your shelves?

I can see you're a big Harry Potter fan, that's pretty cool! I don't have a lot of bookish items. I have a couple of bookmarks but they are nowhere near my shelves. Unfortunately, most of my non-book items on my shelves are junk, haha!

Me too! Ugh! I wish I could afford more of them. I've limited myself to just one for now.

I have a couple of those bookish Willow Tree figures – one is a girl hugging a stack of books and another is a guy sitting on a stack of books while reading one. Awhile back I dropped the guy and he hit the floor just right and it broke off his head and the book in his hands. I successfully managed to superglue him back together and you would know to look at him. πŸ™‚

I dont really have bookish items on my shelves (the ones that have items other than books) except from 2x Harry Potter wands which have a shelf all to themselves!

My oldest son and his family are big Potter fans. They gave me a set of the dvd's to watch, but I just can't seem to get into it.

Sounds like you have fun shelves! In my case, I have FAR too many books not to fill up my shelves with them! Lol. Those Harry Potter Funko Pops are sure CUTE! I've seen them at my local Barnes & Noble.

I do have three HP wands sitting on the top shelf of a small bookcase in our bedroom, along with a small plushie — a pink, winged unicorn. However, that bookcase is much too cluttered, so I didn't include a picture of it in my post.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my BBH post!! And thanks for following my blog!! I'm following back now!! Hope you're enjoying your Saturday!! <3 <3 πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

My shelf is mostly books, but there is also a bowl where I have a bunch of bookmarks. I also love the idea of creating themed shelves. I would definitely have Harry Potter and Wonder Woman themed ones.
