A tablet lies on dry grass and surrounded by dandelions in a natural outdoor setting. The screen displays the cover of the book Everybody Is in the Place by Emma J. Gibbon. The cover features a colorful, fantastical illustration of a female figure with glowing eyes and curved horns, holding something mysterious in her hands. Stars and swirling cosmic elements fill the background, giving the cover a magical and otherworldly feel. The title text is in bold, colorful letters across the top and middle, with the author's name at the bottom.

Welcome to day four of the Armchair Book Expo!

Today I am thrilled to announce that I am running my very first giveaway on this blog! I am also looking for a few book recommendations.

But first, the giveaway!

Giveaways:
Today is the day for you to host your very own giveaway to share with other Armchair Book Expo participants. You choose the prize and you run the giveaway.

I’ve never run a giveaway before, so I am very excited to host my first one today using Rafflecopter!

The giveaway: a $20 Amazon gift card.

This giveaway closes tonight at midnight, so make sure to enter now! I will notify the winner Sunday afternoon.

ISO Books:
As readers, we are always looking for our next book to read or a stack to fill our TBR shelves. This is your opportunity to ask using our Armchair Book Expo Book Suggestion Generator (aka YOU!). Are you wanting to expand your horizons with minority characters? Are you in search of your next book club read? Do you want to explore your graphic novel or comic book options? Or, are you looking for a book that broaches a mental health or childhood issue to help you grow in understanding and knowledge in your personal life? YOU ask and YOU answer.

I’m always looking for more comic and graphic novel recommendations. And I would never turn down a horror and/or thriller recommendation. But one area that I would really love to get some wonderful recommendations in is own-voices of any kind.

I can’t wait to see what you all recommend!

Thanks for reading!
I hope to see you during today’s Twitter Party at 6 PM EST! Today’s topic is “Book Recommendations.”

Thank you so much for the giveaway!

I recently fell in love with Saga by Brian K. Vaughan, I don't know if you like Edward Scissorhands but there's a graphic novel of it and it was so good! I also recommend Ms. Marvel!

    Have you read Monstress? https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/29396738-monstress-vol-1
or The Wicked + The Divine https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23093359-the-wicked-the-divine-vol-1
I don't read a lot of graphic novels but those are some I read lately.
If you like horror I love Tananarive Due. My Soul to Keep is great. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/41536.My_Soul_to_Keep She also has a short story collection called Ghost Summer that is very creepy and good.

Thank you so much for providing this giveaway. I really want to pick up more graphic novels. I've only read Nimona and Ms. Marvel and enjoyed both immensely. Just saw you mention Monstress and I want to read that one so bad.

I almost forgot my recommendations! Haha, I haven't read these creepy graphic novels yet but I have heard good things about them: Through the Woods by Emily Carroll and Wytches by Scott Snyder.

Two of the three 5-star reviews I've given on Goodreads this year have gone to #ownvoices books: The Sun Is Also a Star, about two teens who meet in New York City, by Nicola Yoon, and Angie Thomas' The Hate U Give, about a teen girl who sees her childhood best friend shot by a police officer and how that plays out in her life and community.

I second the recommendation for the Ms. Marvel series.

I enjoy the Charmed graphic novel continuation from the show. Well, if you've watched it. I've only read the first one so far, but it made me so happy to see my favorite characters again. Have you watched Dexter? The books are pretty good too. Thank you for the giveaway!
