Oh 2025. What a year. This was a strange year, to say the least. But a super fun one with my little dude and filled with more reading time than I was able to get last year.
Let’s dive into my short annual highlights!
January & February 2025 –
Our year was off to a bit of a rough start. Our family was sick through the end of 2024, and that continued through the beginning of the year, complete with various trips to urgent care. But even so, we all made the most of it! During this time, Wade got to explore my horror shelves! He pulled various things off the shelves, but hasn’t yet pulled books off the shelf! I know that’ll be coming at some point! haha

March 2025 –
In March, I got to read my first physical book in a VERY long time! I was so overdue to get to this review, and when I opened it, I was so surprised by the acknowledgments! Shout out to Aric! In 2026, I need to get caught up on his anthologies!!

This month, I also hosted a fun guest post! Check out more by clicking below!
April 2025 –
This month, our big book focus was celebrating Indie Bookstore Day! We didn’t know that this was coming up because I had lost all sense of time… But when I was looking for something to do for another mommy and little dude day, this event popped up on my radar, and we RUSHED to get to Gibsons in Concord, NH. We spent two hours at the store wandering around and enjoying the day! Wade picked out a Kooshball toy, a toy car with a cow, and two books: Busy Bookstore: Push, Pull, Slide by Marion Billet (super cute, but this one got wrecked because Wade wanted to see how the push and pull features worked… We’ll need to replace it!) and Trash Truck by Max Keane (still a favorite in January of 2026!)! We even had time to sit in the cafe to share a breakfast sandwich.

June 2025 –
This month, I was able to host two super fun and hilarious interviews with the awesome Gavin Dillinger, and one of my personal favorite authors, Stephen Kozeniewski! Another shout-out to Kayleigh Dobbs for making these interviews happen! <3
Annnnnnnd unfortunately, that’s where I stopped tracking this year. Whoops!
Here’s to an even more fun, bookish-event-filled, and safe 2026!
