A tablet lies on dry grass and surrounded by dandelions in a natural outdoor setting. The screen displays the cover of the book Everybody Is in the Place by Emma J. Gibbon. The cover features a colorful, fantastical illustration of a female figure with glowing eyes and curved horns, holding something mysterious in her hands. Stars and swirling cosmic elements fill the background, giving the cover a magical and otherworldly feel. The title text is in bold, colorful letters across the top and middle, with the author's name at the bottom.

[Top 10 Tuesday] 10 Books On My Wish List

10 books on my wish list

Top 10 Tuesday is created and hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This weeks prompt is technically:
Ten Things On Our Reading Wish List — things you want to see more of in books — tropes, a time period, a specific type of character, an issue tackled, a certain plot, etc. All those things that make you think I WANT MORE OF THIS IN BOOKS!

But I took another detour this week.

I am just returning from a long weekend in Illinois. The trip was absolutely incredible! I got to meet a bunch of people that I have heard Alex talk about for years and I got to see the Midwest for the first time! But the mountain of laundry and errands that I have to run today is a bit daunting. So I opted for a quick post.

Top 10 Tuesday: 10 Books On My Wish List

Before we dive in, I just wanted to say that there are a few times where I will buy a book from Goodwill, an Amazon ebook sale, or a local bookstore on a whim. But for the vast majority, I will only buy books once I have read them, loved them, rated them 5 stars, and decided that I would love to re-read them soon.

The only book on this list that I have not yet read is my pick for #1. This book is on this list because I have seen photos and heard many people raving about it. I cannot wait to purchase a copy and give it a read!

So without any more delay, here is the current (as of 5/9) top-ten books on my wish list:

10. Traveling Mercies: Some Thoughts on Faith by Anne Lamott

9. This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab

8. The Locke and Key Graphic Novel Series by Joe Hill

7. Bird Box by Josh Malerman

6. The March Trilogy by John Robert Lewis

5. The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman

4. The Red Notebook by Antoine Laurain

3. The Martian by Andy Weir

2. On Living by Kerry Egan

1.  Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone: The Illustrated Edition

Thanks for reading!
