Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer, where you answer a question and join a "hop". The purpose is to help bloggers discover and get to know one another.
For this week's question, Elizabeth @ Silver's Reviews asks:
Is there a fictitious town in a book that you would love to live in? What makes it appealing?
My answer:
Oh for sure! I would love to live in either Hogsmeade or Bagend, for pretty obvious reasons.
Hogsmeade would be so much fun. But of course I would need to be a wizard if I were to live here! I would love to be so immersed in the community.
Bag End would be such a beautiful and lovely place to live. Filled with relaxation, books, tea, and fun!
Thanks for reading!

I can't think of any off the top of my head but I've read some cozy mysteries where I wouldn't mind living in the towns. However, if we were talking TV, it would totally be Stars Hollow. I'm a diehard Gilmore Girls fan!
ReplyDeleteOh for sure!! Great pick!
DeleteI'm not familiar with Bagend, but I would definitely love to live in Hogsmeade, too! So much to do, and definitely so much fun. ♥

:-D
DeleteI'd definitely go with Hogsmeade, or really anywhere in the wizarding world because then I'd be a witch and that would be awesome!!

Right?!
DeleteRelaxation is my cup of tea. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great place.
:-D
DeleteBag End for me! And a nice cozy hobbit hole...
ReplyDeleteIt sounds so perfect!!
DeleteI think I would pick Wizarding London over Hogsmeade, although it's a little bigger than a "town"! If I had to see Hogwarts every day but not actually go in I'd be perpetually jealous of current students!
ReplyDeleteOh good point!!
DeleteGreat choices!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteThose are definitely great answers! I would absolutely love to live in Hogsmeade as well, though it didn't cross my mind when I was answering this week's question myself. It's fun to see the answers that others have shared because it reminds you of towns that you may've forgotten. Thank you for sharing!!

I agree!! This hop is always so much fun :)
DeleteThere are so many that spring to mind! Torminster from Elizabeth Goudge's book A City of Bells; or Lud-in-the Mist from the eponymous book by Hope Mirrlees; or the alternate Oxford of The Golden Compass, to name a few. I'm a pretty Anglophile reader, it seems.
ReplyDeleteOoooh! Great picks!!
DeleteWhat a great pick with Hogsmeade. That would be fun. The first one that came to my mind was Velaris from the ACOTAR series. The descriptions made it sound so beautiful.
ReplyDelete:-D Oh, great pick! For some reason, I imagined Capri, Italy when I read the ACOTAR books/.
DeleteYeah, these would both be great!
ReplyDeleteRight?! :)
DeleteHow amazing would it be to be a wizard? Though I suppose if we'd always lived that way it'd just be normal. *shrug* Happy reading!

My Blogger Hop Answer
True :)
DeleteI haven't read a book with the perfect setting for me to live in because I seem to like problematic books like post apocalyptic and dystopians ahah also I don't have the best luck in the world so I would probably die in a place like hogwarts even though I would see the appeal in it.
ReplyDeleteLii @ Girl Hearts Books
Oh good point!! haha I have bad luck as well and would probably be in the same boat!
DeleteYes to both!
ReplyDeleteI'd also add Red London to this list. :)
:-D
DeleteHogsmeade for sure!!!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't that be so fun!?
DeleteHogwarts sounds fun! Where's Bagends? I have no idea where that is lol.
ReplyDeleteBag End is the Hobbit-hole in Hobbiton from the Lord Of The Rings series :) I got really specific with that pick haha
DeleteI agree with Barb above. I'd totally love to live in Stars Hollows if fictional TV towns can be included. Otherwise, I agree with Hogwarts/Hogsmeade. That would be so much fun :)
ReplyDelete:-D
DeleteErica I also picked Hogsmeade, and I didn't even put ALL the things I'd love about living there.
