4 Choice Driven Mobile Phone Games

4 Choice Driven Mobile Phone Games

I'm a total sucker for mobile games! I love being able to pick up my phone, open the app, play for a bit, and then put it away.

Recently I've been dipping my toes into a few "choice" driven story mobile games that rely on a lot of reading. Some I really enjoyed, but some weren't all that interesting.

Let's dive in!

4 Choice Driven Mobile Phone Games

This game really wasn’t up my alley, but it was fun to check out. I tried the Mean Girls version. I thought it was okay until you were forced to use gems/pay to make one decision or use the ONE free one… That was when I bailed.

This one was really fun! I enjoyed the overall storyline, but it was pretty predictable. Similarly to Episode, you were forced to use gems/pay to make one decision or use the ONE free option, which was bothersome, but didn’t totally ruin my enjoyment. This story has stuck with me months after finishing the game play!

Unfortunately, while the cover makes this one seem like it was going to be really spooky, it was mainly about bullying in high school which was just boring to me.

In this game, you were also forced to use gems/pay to make one decision or use the ONE free option. In this case, it really took away from the story because it negatively affected things. For example, I could have gotten a weapon at one point, but had to pay to do so. So rather than getting anything at all, I didn’t get anything.

One feature that could have been cool here was collecting artifacts. However, because I refused to pay, I only got one. The two redeeming factors here for me included the music and the character Andy.

This is a game that I still pick up every now and again! I love how quick it is! The goal is to achieve some goals by making the "right" decisions. But you need to be careful because each decision affects the standings with the church, your people, your guard, and your finances. The only thing you need to do to play is swipe left or right and try to survive!

Thanks for reading!
Do you play any mobile games that rely on reading? I'd love to hear about them in the comments section below!

    1. They were so addicting! Even if I didn't end up finishing some of the stories :)

  2. I don't think I've ever played a mobile game, but I know my brother and sister in law used to do some. The first few definitely sound a bit difficult to enjoy since you have to pay to get the really cool items! Thanks for sharing.

    1. Yeah, I hate when games do that to you! I get it, especially when the games are free to begin with... But still. I definitely prefer when I can advance through skill or choices over having to pay to play.

  3. I think Reigns sounds the most interesting!
I'm not a fan of games that try to force you to pay to play. I'm actually likely to spend money if they don't.

  4. I’m not huge into mobile games. Especially since you have to earn points etc to keep playing lately. I miss playing whenever I wanted and not having to wait for more lives etc.

  5. I don't really play many mobile games beyond Word with Friends and Sudoku, but Reigns actually sounds pretty fun. I could see myself trying that one.

  6. I've been seeing some of these choice type games advertised lately but haven't tried any because I figured they'd make you pay as soon as you got into it. There are some things I'm willing to spend money on, and that's just not one of those things lol. But they do sound fun!

  7. Oh, I love these! I have Choices installed on my phone, along with one that released recently but I keep forgetting to make a blog post about it, haha. I did the high school story in Choices (or college) and somehow ended up in a love square? It was weird, but super fun! I also hated the paying for gems though, which I think the one I am currently playing did a better job of solving that issue.

  8. I had this one free game on my phone that was an all text choose your own adventure. There were several different themes, but my favorite was the hard boiled noir detective one. Totally forgot the name of it now but it was pretty decent.

  9. My cousin loves episode and plays it a lot. I could never really get into it. I do sometimes play choices... but the romance storylines. Ahaha, I think which storylines we choose shows what we are interested in.
