Honest Review Requests Gone Wrong

Honest Review Requests Gone Wrong

In March of 2018, Drew of The Tattooed Book Geek put together a wonderful blog post titled Reasons why a blogger declines your review request and doesn’t want you on their blog. I was very honored to be quoted by Drew! And this conversation certainly got me thinking...

So I started taking screenshots! One request had been lingering on Goodreads, while the other two arrived in my inbox shortly after Drew's post went live.

Note: In this post, I have blacked out some of the information in order to give the individuals privacy.

This post should be read with a particular level of humor :) Please enjoy these honest review requests gone wrong!

[Book Blogger Hop] My Book Clubs

Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer, where you answer a question and join a "hop". The purpose is to help bloggers discover and get to know one another.

For this week's question, Elizabeth @ Silver's Reviews asks:
How many book clubs do you belong to? If you do belong to an in-person book club, do you have meetings in the day or evening? Do you meet at someone's house or meet at a local restaurant or coffee house?

[Book Review] The Bear and the Nightingale (Winternight Trilogy #1) by Katherine Arden

Book Review of The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden

The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden was such a fun and beautifully written tale filled to the brim with magic, family, monsters, and darkness.

When I saw this was one of our book club options, I voted for it immediately. I had heard such great things about it! So when it won the overall vote for March, I went out and bought a copy immediately.

This book did not disappoint. In fact, I loved it so much that the minute I finished reading it, I jumped on my computer and ordered the second book and preordered the third! I cannot wait to read them both to see what happens next!

4 Choice Driven Mobile Phone Games

4 Choice Driven Mobile Phone Games

I'm a total sucker for mobile games! I love being able to pick up my phone, open the app, play for a bit, and then put it away.

Recently I've been dipping my toes into a few "choice" driven story mobile games that rely on a lot of reading. Some I really enjoyed, but some weren't all that interesting.

When Pottermore released this article back on January 28th 2018, Andrew Lincoln will narrate new digital audiobook of Quidditch Through the Ages, I went to audible and immediately preordered the audiobook.

[Wrap-Up] February 2018

Wrap-Up for February 2018

Ah, the end of February always sneaks up on me. This month was so insanely busy, but overall it was a good month!

My new job is going very well. I absolutely love the company I work for. Alex and I celebrated our 4 year dateaversary. Wedding plans are slowly coming together. The Walk Dead returned. And the best part of my month, my stress levels are down! My stress level still isn't exactly where I want it to be... but compared to where things were this time last month, I'm in a much better place!

My reading took a bit of a hit this month though. I'm behind in my honest reviews again, but I'm hoping to catch back up this month!

Let's dive in to my monthly wrap-up!
