Book Blogger Hop
Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer, where you answer a question and join a "hop". The purpose is to help bloggers discover and get to know one another.
For this week's question, Kristin @ Lukten av Trykksverte asks:
Do you participate in readathons and/or reading challenges?
My answer:
I love reading challenges! I have participated in a couple year-long challenges from PopSugar in the past. Then one year, Heather (of Heather's Reading Hideaway) and I created our own reading challenge called the Restricted Section Reading Challenge. I've wanted to participate in smaller challenges, like the Spring Bingo Challenge, but I just haven't had the time this year.
Someday I really hope to participate in a readathon! Unfortunately, every single one that I have been interested in in the past three years have fallen on dates that are already much too busy for me.
Thanks for reading!
What is your favorite reading challenge or readathon? I'd love to hear all about it in the comments section below!

I run into the same challenges with the read-athon too. One of these days I'm determined to make it work!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading challenges too, although it recent years have had less and less luck with them. I get so excited in the beginning and then lose my enthusiasm as the time progresses. I am not taking part in any challenges this year, although I've had to fight off temptation several times. I'm not sure what I will do next year . . .
Have a great weekend, Erica!
Maybe we will get super lucky and our first readathons will line up at the same time!! :)
DeleteHave a great weekend as well!
Reading challenges are fun! I would love to participate in a readathon at some point too!
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteTime and money are always factors for me. I love the idea of a readathon, but I am yet to participate in one.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I hear ya!
DeleteI've done a few readathons, I like doing some of the spookier themed ones in October but a few of those have gone by the wayside. And the HoHoHo readathon in November is always fun. I don't do too many challenges but I did three this year, and those have been fun. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
That's awesome! I'll have to keep an eye out for some of those! I'd love to do a spooky challenge! And I'm a sucker for anything holiday related! :)

I really enjoy doing reading challenges too!

I hope you find a great one that works for you! :)
DeleteI've had a few going this t - currently The Reading Quest! :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see how that challenge goes for you! It's so unique!
DeleteI participate in a few readathons, but I haven't done any reading challenges. Are those separate? How do you do a reading challenge while reading? lol I just finished with BooktubeAThon, and I'm currently doing Tome Topple but I use my own books instead of the big books required. #rebel ;)

Reading challenges are more drawn out than readathons. Rather than doing a 24/48 hour or weekend long challenge, it would be more like a month or a full year :)
DeleteYes I can't do readathons time wise as well, but hopefully one day I can do a readathon. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog hop Erica.
ReplyDeleteOf course! Thank you for stopping by here as well!
