[Book Blogger Hop] September 8th - 14th

Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer, where you answer a question and join a "hop". The purpose is to help bloggers discover and get to know one another.

For this week's question, Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer asks:
Have you ever bought a book because you liked its cover art?

My answer:
Of course! I'm a total sucker for a great book cover design!

I've also purchased a book that I already owned just because I liked the new cover design more than the last. :)

Thanks for reading!

  1. I buy books all the time because of their covers. I even have a few I've ordered from Book Depository because I liked the UK versions better. In fact, I could probably go as far as saying I've bought a couple of books I'll probably never read because of their covers!

    1. I always mean to check out the UK editions before ordering, but I keep forgetting!

  2. A book cover that catches my eye will certainly make me give it a closer look, but I'm afraid it's not enough reason for me to buy it.

I hope you have a great weekend, Erica! Thank you for sharing today.

  3. Books with beautiful covers are my kryptonite! It's so hard to resist beautiful cover art. :D

  4. I don't think I've ever bought, or would buy, a book solely based on the cover. But a beautiful cover will draw me in and make want to check the book out further.

  5. I can always appreciate a book with a beautiful cover - but no matter how tempting the cover is, if the story doesn't appeal to me I will probably not buy it :)

  7. A good cover can really draw you in. One thing I hate, though, is when you are collecting a series and they change the cover design midway through, so the books no longer match.

  8. I love a good cover, and if I'm wavering on a book the cover will definitely tip me over the edge if it's a good one! Also, like Barb said in her comment, I've started buying books occasionally from Book Depository because I want a foreign cover instead!

  11. The cover draws me in and causes me to pick up a book to check it out. I have bought different Harry Potter books just to have all the different covers.

  12. I always buy books based on the cover and the synopsis. If the cover is tacky or cheap looking but the synopsis is still good, then I could forgive the bad cover haha!

  13. Yes if the cover art draws me in than I read the synopsis if the synopsis intrigues me so than I buy the book. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog hop last week.
