[Book Review] From Ant to Eagle by Alex Lyttle

Book Review of From Ant to Eagle by Alex Lyttle

From Ant to Eagle by Alex Lyttle is heartbreaking but incredible story about family and the special bond of two brothers.

Make sure to grab your tissues before you jump in here. And be warned, once you pick it up, you won't be able to put it down.

Thank you to NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this incredible story.

[Top 10 Tuesday] Ten Books On My Fall TBR

Top 10 Tuesday Ten Books On My Fall TBR List

Top 10 Tuesday is created and hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

I'm not usually one to create a seasonal TBR list simply because seeing a list of books that I want to read in a certain amount of time tends to stress me out!

However, since Fall is my favorite season, I just couldn't pass this one up!

Enjoy!

[Book Review] Goodbye, Vitamin by Rachel Khong

Goodbye, Vitamin by Rachel Khong is a heartbreaking, but lovely novel about family and growing up.

As it is written in a journal format, the content was a bit too choppy for my preference. However, I still enjoyed this read quite a bit!

[Book Review] The Pink Heist by Adam El Shalakany

The Pink Heist by Adam El Shalakany was such a fun read! I was laughing out loud on almost every page. From very early on, I decided that it definitely had a similar humorous tone as Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, so of course I loved every single second of it!

If you're a Hitchhikers fan, stop right here and go pick up this book! Here's the amazon link.

Full disclosure: I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This did not affect my rating in any way.

[Book Review] The Talented Ribkins by Ladee Hubbard

Book review of The Talented Ribkins by Ladee Hubbard

The Talented Ribkins by Ladee Hubbard is a slow, but very intriguing story about a man on a mission, his niece (whom he just found out existed), and a long family history of "peculiarities".

[Graphic Novel Review] Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Vol. 1 The Crucible

Graphic Novel Review of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Vol. 1 The Crucible

If you are expecting the same fun, bubbly teenage witch played by Melissa Joan Hart, this graphic novel will disappoint you. The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Vol. 1 is very dark and gory. Of course I loved every second of it!

[Book Review] Feel Me Fall by James Morris

Book Review of Feel Me Fall by James Morris

Feel Me Fall by James Morris is an absolutely incredible YA mystery/triller that is filled to the brim with suspense!

Warning: Once you pick this one up, you won't be able to put it down!

This was another book that I lost sleep over simply because I had forced myself to put the book down to go to sleep, and couldn't stop thinking about it.

Full disclosure: I was given a free copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review. This did not affect my rating in any way.

[Book Review] Corduroy by Don Freeman

Book Review of Corduroy by Don Freeman

Corduroy by Don Freeman was one of my favorite books as a child. I hadn't read it since I was five or six, so this re-read was definitely needed!

[Top 10 Tuesday] Ten Books I've Recently DNFed

Top 10 Tuesday- Ten Books I've Recently DNFed

Top 10 Tuesday is created and hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

Before I started this blog, I absolutely refused to DNF books. However, after making a list of "books I should have DNFed," and seeing how quickly it was filling up... I finally came to terms with the fact that I had a problem. :)

From this situation, I ended up creating a DNF policy that helps guide me and prevent my stubbornness from resurfacing. Of course I still slip up here and there. But even so, I feel like I have been doing a decent job of bailing on books that I'm just not enjoying.

Here are ten books that I've recently DNFed.

[Book Review] The Dark Net by Benjamin Percy

Book Review of The Dark Net by Benjamin Percy

The Dark Net by Benjamin Percy has a VERY intriguing prologue! This did a wonderful job of drawing me in and I was hooked for quite a while. Unfortunately, things started to go downhill for me around page 75. Even so, I did enjoy this read.

[Wrap-Up] August 2017

Reading Wrap-Up for August 2017

Phew! What a month. I started off really strong, but then ran into a bit of a reading slump toward the end of the month. Even so, I read a bunch of really awesome books this month!

Let's dive in!
